Joe Steuer joined Pete and East Beach Ventures in 2002. His career experience began in the US Cavalry in Bamberg, Germany from 1986 to 1989. After leaving the military, he worked as a self-employed designer/draftsman while he studied architecture at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1995.
Upon graduation, he went to work for Phillips Metsch Sweeney Moore Architects (formerly Grant Pedersen Phillips Architects) where he became an associate partner and managed the firm’s Paso Robles office. He then joined Pete’s office as its workload expanded.
Joe’s role at East Beach Ventures consists of working closely with Pete and Adriene in developing the construction documents for each project. His work includes coordinating the work of structural, mechanical, electrical and other engineering consultants necessary for each particular project. He also works with the local government agencies to secure the necessary permits.
Besides being an outdoors enthusiast…camping,hiking, baseball, etc., Joe is an accomplished guitarist and watercolorist.
